Suggestions: - Prepare clothes and shoes that are good for hiking and bring your bathing suit to experience the Waterfall! - It is possible that there will be leeches in the forest when hiking so we recommend that you bring socks that can prevent you from leeches and shoes that can protect yourselves. What is included in this trip: - Meals per program (for 3D2N program – Breakfast (2), Lunch (1), Dinner (2) - 2 nights’ accommodation at a local community (2 people per 1 room but if you’d like one room just for yourself, you can request it for additional charge.) - Local tour guide - VAT 7% What is not included in the program: - Any personal expenses - Additional food or beverages that are not part of the program (lunch on the arriving day can be added on with additional charge but needs to be arranged in advance) - Any other additional services How to get there: - You can fly to Yala or Hat Yai International Airports from Bangkok. The van will be arranged to pick you up from the airport of your choices with your group. We do not allow you to rent your own car for this trip due to warning from Thai government and certain areas that outsiders are not safe to go in. We ask that you stay with the strict itinerary with us on this one once you get into the 3 Southern Border Provinces (SBP) for your own safety. The Thai government provided the area for the ex-CPM members after the Malayan Communist Party and the governments of Thailand and Malaysia signed the Peace Agreement.  Day 2 Morning Let’s take a deep inhale of fresh air and start your day with a local breakfast.  Enjoy a relaxing morning before getting ready for a bird-watching trip! In the Hala-Bala, you will see different species of birds and if lucky, might even spot hornbills! Time to be greeted with fragrant nature. Take a short walk through the village’s deer farm to the Hala-Bala. Let the scented earth boost your energy and continue to the 100-meter-high Halasa Waterfall.  Return to the village for a relaxing herbal foot bath after the morning walk.  12.00 PM Lunch time.  Afternoon Take a walk around the village to see the ex-CPM members’ way of life. Today they live a simple life but you can still feel the nostalgic vibes of their living places and food just like in the good old days. Enjoy your free time this afternoon.   06.00 PM  Enjoy dinner cooked by local chefs. 09.00 PM  Leisure time.  Day 3 05.30 AM Let’s get ready to go to the Pha Hin Yok Viewpoint, the highlight of the trip!  Enjoy climbing up to the top, which is both fun and a little exhausting at the same time, to admire a breathtaking sea of mist. 08.30 AM Have breakfast and enjoy free time.  12.00 PM  Say goodbye and return home safely.

Day 1

Afternoon

Let’s take a deep inhale of fresh air and start your day with a local breakfast. 

  • Enjoy a relaxing morning before getting ready for a bird-watching trip! In the Hala-Bala, you will see different species of birds and if lucky, might even spot hornbills!
  • Time to be greeted with fragrant nature. Take a short walk through the village’s deer farm to the Hala-Bala. Let the scented earth boost your energy and continue to the 100-meter-high Halasa Waterfall.
