Khlong Ta Ja is a community in Samut Songkram Province located on the Mae Klong river side. This is the destination where you will get to learn the way of life of coconut farmers from 3 different religions - Buddhism, Taoism and Christianity. With local wisdom, the locals are able to make use of coconuts. They eventually have successfully turned their hometown into an attractive tourist destination and earn money from coconut products. During the trip, you will enjoy tie-dyeing using natural dyes from mango and lychee leaves. Then, let’s experience the best taste of the gelatinous coconut of Klong Ta Ja. After that, enjoy your relaxing time at Amphawa Floating Market where you will see the way the locals live and also antiques in the Amphawa Floating Market Museum.

Meet at Baan Mai Chai Lane Resort. Let’s start the tip with the mangrove planting to protect shorelines and increase habitats for young marine species.

Hear the story of the community’s eco-activities and find out why mangrove forests are so important here. Then, take a boat ride to see the lush mangrove forests and learn how to fish in a traditional way. After that, let’s plant young mangroves together. You can spot wild crab-eating macaques on mangroves all the way.

Have lunch like a local at a hut on the sea.

Have fun sliding around on a wood board across the mud, Kayaking or swimming in the sea. Enjoy taking photos!

Return to Baan Mai Chai Lane Resort for a shower.

Visit Wat Bang Kung Temple which once was a navy campsite. The temple is famous for its sanctuary covered with the roots of 4 different trees with the Buddha statue of Luang Phor Phuttha Nilmanee, also known as Luang Por Bode Noi, enshrined inside.
Let’s continue inside to admire the beauty of mural paintings since the late Ayudhya period presenting the Bhudda’s stories. Then, visit the statue of King Taksin and a small zoo in the temple.

Arrive at Amphawa Floating Market, a famous destination among Thai and foreign visitors. The market starts in the evening. You will see local sellers row their boats slowly to sell food, fruits, vegetables, snacks and local products to local people and tourists.
