Arrive at Lampang Airport. Travel to Pha Pang village, Mae Phrik District. Warm welcome form Pha Pang ladies. Learn northern culture and the village’s simple lifestyle. Dab on northern culture by making Tung Sai Moo, a decoration for religious ceremonies made by overlaying cellophane before cutting it. Once unrolled it creates a shape similar to pig intestines, hence the name. Lunch with local dishes.
Mae Oui will take her children to the temple, making Suai Dok herself to offer to the Buddha statue. Sua Dok is a cone made of banana leaves used to carry incense sticks, candles and bright colored flowers. Brink the finished Suai Dok to offer to Buddha’s Relics in Royal Stupa of 12 zodiac signs, according to the giver’s own zodiac sign. There are white stupas of 11 zodiac signs surrounding the goat zodiac stupa in the center.
Bike in the breezy evening, enjoying the view of bamboo forest and the local reservoir. Dine in an environmental friendly style using containers made from bamboo such as glass, cup, tray and water bottle. Listen to the local stories from the local ladies.
Take in the fresh morning air that makes Ban Pha Pang elders live long and healthy life with bright smiles on their faces. Breakfast. Follow Mae Oui to Tambon Pha Pang Innovation School for Elders. The elders of Ban Pha Pang enjoy various activities together such as painting bamboo water bottle, cooking and club dance to stretch the muscles.
