Kong Tu Yao (Taiwan earth oven) originated in the early Taiwanese agricultural community. The farmers would use their spare time and gather materials directly from the field and build a kiln for the earth oven. Nowadays, the activity is popular among adults and children to recall the memories of the traditional agricultural way of living. Our guides will introduce you to the steps of building a sturdy kiln with the traditional farmers’ knowledge.
