About the trip
Outdoor & Adventure History & Culture Hands-on Workshop
The ancient village of Baan Phrom Lok is located near Phrom Lok Waterfall at Khao Luang in Nakorn Si Thammarat province, and is a source of water flowing into the sea. The villagers have adopted a practice of hybrid agriculture known as ‘Suan Somarom’, which involves growing fruit and vegetables without the use of any chemicals. Here, you’ll find an excellent community tourism activity that focuses on herbs that can be used to treat venom, while there is also a challenging hiking path through the forest that leads to the highest mountain of the entire southern region. At the top, you can observe the ancient ferns and plants of what is known as the ‘cloud forest’.
